You Are a (Digital) Brand

Web 2.0 has redefined personal image. What was once reserved for celebrities and CEOs affects all of us in the digital world. We can be seen, researched, interpreted and debated over across thousands of searchable platforms. Our online presence now contributes more to our identity than what we own, what we say, how we look or what’s on our resumes.

As millennials, we may interact with hundreds of people face to face, but probably interact with thousands of people online and are viewed by millions of others. And it's not like the internet is a fad. It’s quite likely that the vast majority of people we engage with in our lifetimes will only ever know our digital selves.

In that context, our digital brands are a huge responsibility. Now more than ever, you are your digital presence. Who will we decide to be?
